Sometimes I like to make little gifts to give to Keira. She is a great kid who works hard at both school and dance. The gift could be a little note, a new barrette, or something else altogether.
I decided it had been awhile since I made her a barrette, so I needed to make her a new one!
I grabbed some turquoise felt, some shrink plastic, and a stamp set!

I cut a square out of the felt and made it into a pin-wheel. I then used an ice cream stamp from a company that is now closed called There She Goes. I stamped the ice cream onto some shrink plastic, coloured it with markers, and then shrank it. I love this stuff! Watching it shrink is great fun!
I then hot glued some ribbon onto a barrette, and hot glued everything else onto the barrette.
I couldn't give it to Keira just like that, so I made a little goodie bag to gift it to her in.

I used some Lawn Fawn stamps to heat emboss the hearts in gold and the sentiment in white.
Keira was so happy with her new barrette! I think she wore it every day that week!
I can't wait to see her face when I give her her birthday card I made her!
Have a great day!
