I've recently read an article by another blogger saying that she hates when her kids come home from school on Valentine's day and she sees some fancy, well put together Valentines, done by kids parents. She said she would rather see the store bought ones or ones that the kids made themselves. I don't mind seeing the ones that the kids made themselves, but store bought? Not for me.
I love making the cards and gifts for Keira's classmates, and Keira loves that I do that for her. Every holiday that comes around, she asks me what I am making for her class. I make up a sample and then always see what she thinks, then I go ahead and make another 15 for her classmates.
If you are a crafter, why are you going to go out and buy something that you know you could make? Just my thoughts.
Now, onto Keira's class Valentines!

I have had this owl die for a few months and just knew that I wanted to create some Valentines for Keira's class with it! Once I had all the body pieces cut, I decided to use some patterned paper for the wings. When I showed Keira my sample one, she claimed it for herself! I guess she approved!
All I have left to do is bake some cookies and put everything together.
Happy love day!
